(2006-2007)TransAlta Energy Corporation: Assisted TransAlta with final contract negotiations with the OPA regarding a 20 years generation supply contract. Assistance included: (1) assurance that the final contract terms and conditions, including all calculation equations, are in accordance with terms and conditions agreed upon between TransAlta and the OPA; (2) development of shadow settlement system calculations such that TransAlta can verify accuracy of contract payments received by the OPA and/or invoices for payments to the OPA; and (3) performance scenario analysis regarding the settlement equation calculations to ensure robustness of the calculations (i.e. modify input parameters to test equation results for consistency and rational outcomes). (2006)Ontario Power Authority (OPA) – Lead negotiations of generation contract pricing terms and conditions on behalf of the OPA with five existing generation owners regarding 20 year generation supply contracts. Negotiations resulted in agreements with three of the five suppliers (approximately 1000 Mw out of 1200 Mw total). (2005)
