In over 20 years of working as a nonprofit professional and primary care physician, I’ve witnessed firsthand how quality medical and social services can sustain and transform a child’s life. As Executive Director of Health Bridges International (HBI), my goal is to create systemic change in health and welfare so that children and families of today and tomorrow will always have the best chances at a safe and healthy future.Since co-founding HBI with my wife, Lee, in 1992, I’ve been directly working with Peruvian communities to deeply understand their health needs, find ways to increase people’s access to much needed quality medical and welfare services, and offer care providers opportunities to upskill. The collaboration continues to hone my capabilities in knowledge-sharing, cultivating and sustaining partnerships, and strategizing for long-term impact.
