I completed my 9-year engagement with the Royal Air Force, details of employment follow:Responsible for servicing, faultfinding and repair to component level. Using a wide variety of test equipment. Primarily on Siemens Tactical Watchman Radar but also communications work with various UHF,VHF, HF and satellite systems. My 1st post at RAF Staxton Wold, Oct 1990 - Oct 1993, involved shift-work maintaining communication equipment as mentioned above. My 2nd post at RAF Brize Norton, Oct 1993 - Dec 1997, meant I was part of a 5-man team in which we were tasked to install, power up and commission to CAA standards, a full mobile radar system anywhere in the world. Also maintaining the radar using the above techniques. This tactical post required a lot of travel on detachment to the countries mentioned earlier.
