As the Parts Technician, my duties included: researching and determining materiel needed for repairs on industrial generators, marine, and on-highway engines for the service department, sales department, and customers. Provided estimates, coordinated shipments of materiel, resolved shipping/receiving issues, and inspected materiel received from vendors to verify the correct materiel was shipped and in the proper condition. Ensured invoice records are documented accurately, examine defective parts and process returns according to company policy. • Division Manager for the liquid and chemical sleeper division, duties included: responsible for maintaining and planning 25-30 drivers within the division daily and serving approximately 25 high maintenance customer accounts. • Driver responsibilities included: Reviewed applications, conducted interviews, and participated in the decision making process regarding a driver applicant. I was responsible for approving/disapproving and tracking the driver’s time off requests; monitored and evaluated driver performance by accidents, incidents, injuries, driver logs, fuel mileage, weights, and attendance. Conducted quarterly performance reviews with each driver, disciplined and coached drivers regarding Federal and State requirements, company policy and procedures; managed the scheduling of drivers to maximize utilization and ensure the work was distributed equally. Monitored trucks continuously throughout the day to ensure all appointments were met timely.• Customer account responsibilities included: strategic planning to ensure the revenue per mile was met or exceeded per company policy, required daily contact to all customers to review, monitor, and analyze silo levels and daily usage to determine and plan the customer’s weekly schedule and needs. Responsible for invoice tracking through customer web portal, and for ensuring all appropriate permits were ordered per State and Federal requirements for all terminals within the company. • Project planning duties included: meeting with the customer to evaluate their needs, presenting load rates and schedules for contract bid, constant follow up throughout the project to ensure customer goals were met, and to resolve any issues that occurred. My primary customers included Cal Energy, Granite Construction, Morton Salt, and Chevron Oil. The position required knowledge of the California Air Resource Board regulations, Federal and State transportation laws and requirements.
