Responsible for the safe throughput of liquid steel from the steel making vessels to the casting machines via several of the secondary steel making units.Ensuring ladle availability/suitability at all times for the differing qualities produced daily,working very closely with production planners and also continuously with the refractory contractors,refractory management is an essential part of my role.Also responsible for ensuring we gain both value in service and cost effective use from the refractory lined Asea ladles ,always working closely with various refractory companies on new builds so as to keep costs down and still meet financial and production targets.Liase at all times with both in house and external contractors so as to provide a safe/clean working environment ,contract owner of two major contracts within steel making.Planning plays a big part of our daily routine from workloads to kit from Tata employees to contract colleague's.Meeting targets and KPI's are an essential part of buisness life and something we strive to achieve at all times both short term and long.
