Responsible for the day-to-day activities and special projects of the network and communications function for 100 sites in 34 countries; and train, coach and evaluate professional and support staff in its implementation and operational stability.Acting as the global technical design authority for network and communications projects; ensuring that project goals and objectives are met successfully and completed within the agreed upon time line and budget. Responsible for gathering and understanding requirements, and ensuring that network and communications projects are specified to meet these requirementsResponsible for recommending the implementation of new technologies if they are adequately researched and determined to be of benefit; keeping abreast of technology trends as well as new initiatives to ensure that technology practices adjust to mandates.Responsible for proactively identify opportunities to use voice technology to improve business processes and applications, and prepares tactical and strategic plans for optimizing the use of voice technology hardware and software to improve operations.Technical design of the network and communications platform globallyDevelopment and management of an overall schedule of activities and staffing plans required to perform the functions of the unit.Developing training curriculum for newly deployed hardware and/or software to ensure successful handover to infrastructure and operational support servicesEvaluating existing network and communications policies and procedures; developing procedures where none exist and improving existing procedures to keep up with business requirements and evolving technical practices; and ensure that these procedures are effectively enforced.Incident management, problem management, and change management, governance and controlsManage Service providers and internal support functions following ITIL best practices.
