Wentworth Healthcare is a local not-for-profit organisation striving to improve the health and wellbeing of people in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow, and Penrith.Wentworth Healthcare is the provider of the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network (NBMPHN), and always try to put the voice of our community and stakeholders at the centre of what we do.We work in three main ways: supporting general practice to provide high quality care to their patients; funding (or commissioning) local health services that meet the needs of our community and integrating the different parts of the local health system, so people don’t get ‘lost’ when they move from one health service to another.

NPY Women’s Council is an Aboriginal community controlled organisation based in Central Australia. Formed in 1980 as an advocacy organisation, it is now a leader in the provision of human services employing approximately 150 staff. The organisation is governed and directed by Aboriginal women from the NPY region and our work spans across 26 remote communities in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia. My role is to lead the People and Workplace Services team which consists of Business Support, Human Resources, Properties and Vehicle Maintenance. This is a team of seven staff of which I have two direct reports.In my time at NPY Women’s Council I have played a critical role in introducing new and different perspectives and practices in relation to operations, leadership, culture and capability.
