CCTV Center was one of the UK's premier suppliers of IP CCTV equipment, specialising in selected leading brands,including Panasonic, JVC, Sony, Flir and Videotec.My role as Technical Support Manager has primarily involved me offering technical support to installers and integrators for IP and Analogue solutions. Primarily this has been based around cameras, such as those from Panasonic, Sony and JVC. I also played a large part to lead the company in its move from a traditional NVR approach, into the VMS arena and to adopt the SeeTec platform, as well as adopting other IT based technologies. This has included creating and managing a growing hardware portfolio of prebuilt VMS server and storage options, operating as a single point of contact to manufacturers and writing and managing operational procedures within the company. Due to the nature of the role, I inherited responsibility for the company’s internal IT and phone systems. This has given me great hands-on experience with server management(Active Directory,Exchange,Blackberry Enterprise Servers). Some of my other achievements have seen me implement an online knowledge base wiki, completing various manufacturer training courses and reconfiguring the company network.Some further aspects of my role are:- CCTV Systems Design (End to End and VMS Solutions)- Networkdesign and management- 1st/2nd line technical support – via telephone, email, remote conenction or on-site - Troubleshooting and Faultfinding of customers equipment and solutions- Internal and External Training – to installers and end user clients- Site Demos to both installers and end user clients- Management and administration of corporate IT including desktop and VoIP phone support, network and application configuration including MSExchange administration, Windows Server 2003/2008, Blackberry Enterprise Server administration, Active Directory support, PC and Laptop configuration for remote and internal use.
