Originally hired as Design Lead for a team in the process of building a Design System, I took a partially-completed set of UI Components and within a year delivered a completed Design System for BCA, with full React.js and Figma component libraries, documentation platform site snd process strategies.Due to significant IT job cuts within the organisation, my original responsibilities expanded dramatically, taking over the role of my prior Director as the sole Manager of the new Design System for BCA. I was tasked with ensuring a seamless transition and maintaining the momentum of the Design System project, taking a set of 10 completed Javascript React components with very little documentation or processes, and guided the small remaining team to deliver a set over 50 components, with documentation, structure and guidance, ready for the wider company to adopt. In this new role, I quickly adapted to the increased workload and re-strategised the delivery of the Design System. This involved coordinating with various stakeholders, refocusing priorities, and ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals. Despite the challenges posed by the job cuts, I also successfully delivered a comprehensive Zeroheight documentation platform and streamlined processes, contributing to the overall success of the Design System initiative.Estimations showed a 70% ROI on using the Design System versus static build, and time efficiency increase for recent new builds of 300%.

I managed a team of Senior, Midweight and Junior Designers in a busy London Studio. Starting with general digital and data design, I expanded my skillsets to include illustration, animation, branding, UX, Team Leadership and Design Strategy. I specialised in short to medium-term projects, embedding myself with clients and working alongside them to ideate and render solutions. My visual design skills helped with many pitches to bring major Brands into the company portfolio, including Warner Brothers and Google. My branding experience improved the language and communication of several Global Brands, including Google Doubleclick and Warner Bros. Studio Tour, both of which I worked directly with the client team as Lead Brand Designer.In my role as Design Lead, I was expected to liaise with Clients and Stakeholders, integrate with other teams (Technology, Content, UX, Delivery), innovate new solutions, influence the creative culture and mentor Junior designers, and ensure that deadlines and time management stay tight and on track.
