Wayne is General Manager of Parts and Accessories for the UK and Irish markets, responsible for sales, marketing, warehousing and logistics.Beginning his career with Dunlop in sales as a graduate trainee, he progressed into manufacturing in the early 1980’s, responsible for 1000+ employees in a heavily unionised environment moving into supply chain where he led the implementation of an ERP system in 1990, followed by stints in BTR as Supply Chain Director and then Business Restructuring Director on a pan European platform.He joined Suzuki in 2002 where he has modernised the UK parts business and has been the catalyst for change across Suzuki’s European Operations. He pioneered e-Commerce when Suzuki became the first automotive manufacturer in Europe to launch an online store in late 2011. Since that time he has overseen the launch of 5 more stores, all of which are fulfilled by the Suzuki Dealer network. He has witnessed exponential sales growth, though he freely admits that there is still a long way to go. He has recently assumed overall responsibility for Suzuki’s pan European eBay offering.In November 2015 he led, in conjunction with BDA, Suzuki GB’s logistics partner, a successful bid to win the prestigious European Supply Chain Award for Excellence in the Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Sector by breaking the standard Dealer delivery mould in the UK which has increased flexibility, improved customer service and has taken 25% out of the supply chain costs.Wayne has a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Diploma in Management
