Wayne began his career in cannabis in 2009 with his older brother, as a summer time hobby/ sibling challenge. At the age of 15 and with a medical card, Wayne saved up his lunch money to take a public bus (1hour ride) to the local hydroponic shop for plant food. After successfully growing a couple of plants when he was only 15, Wayne wanted to give it a go for another year but with 2x more plants in his back yard. After successfully growing some beautiful outdoor, Wayne’s brother sold it all to Elemental Wellness Center in San Jose. The quality of the flower caught the attention of the owners and executive’s at EWC. When Wayne turned 18 he joined the EWC team and within 1 or 2 years he worked his way to the lead Cultivar position. Wayne successfully managed an indoor facility as well as a 3,400 fully automated GreenHouse until 2018…….that’s when the laws changed and the zoning for our GH was no long acceptable. At the end of 2018 Wayne teamed up with Kind Rub Collective, a well known Santa Cruz local wellness company. Wayne joined the company as the General Manager and quickly got to work understanding the company and it’s process flow. Within a couple of months Wayne as able to increase Kind’s monthly productivity more than 10x its prior operating flow. After onboarding nearly 1.5 million of finished product to a distribution partner, Wayne transitioned himself in to sales. Sales is where Wayne really found his calling, in less then 60 days he was able to get Kind Rub Collective into over 24 new retail accounts! Wayne’s efforts in sales supported the growth from $250k in annual sales to 1.3 Million before transitioning to a new company. Wayne is now teamed up with ROVE, one of California longest lasting family owned brand! Originally from Berkeley (Bay Area) moved to LA to start the ROVE HQ, from 2016- today Rove is now in a total of 7 States!
