I served on the Executive Committee of the CEO as Business Development Director responsible for developing marketing/business strategies to move the ministry into new strategic community markets. One of the ongoing tasks was developing strategies to address diverse markets which offered opportunity for church growth.As Business Development Director served as the representative of Valley Kingdom on the Africa-American Chamber of Commerce representing the interests of entrepreneurs both within Valley Kingdom and the South Suburban Community at large. The Chamber was tasked with lobbying in Springfield for greater appropriation of business contracts within the State of Illinois in the areas of Construction, Retail and Manufacturing. Served on team that met with the Governor, State Legislatures and State Departments to meet annual targets for the expansion of African American businesses to create jobs and opportunities for the community areas which Valley Kingdom served.As Business Development Director led team in the development and coordination of numerous conferences, training seminars and networking events. These included developing business plans, Entrepreneurship Development for Beginners, Personal Finance/Credit Repair. We held numerous panel discussions where business leaders were asked to participate. There were vendor events developed for the sole purpose of providing vendors the opportunity to directly promote their products and services to customers within the ministry and the Oak Forest Community. Since our properties also served as an entertainment venue Business and the Entertainment management team produced a monthly Christian Comedy Show coordinated with outside comedians which are currently involved with various television and entertainment revues around the US. At the height of its popularity we drew crowds of 700 paying customers making us one of the largest comedy shows on the circuit. Managed all Computers and Networks.
