I was responsible for the process engineering of our release management process and the implementation of governance for process improvement. The aim was to improve enhance the processes to improve the customer experience through IT Service management best practices and principles. Accomplishments● Completed the Converged Network Strategy Program at the university of the North-West within Vodacom, and lead a team to implement a business case that won a CEO award for its contribution within the company● Implemented Release Management within the Network Management Group within Vodacom, in the roles of release coordinator, manager and process owner.● Facilitated the Operations and Support Services transformation implementation governance for release, configuration, incident, availability and problem management● Implemented a Oracle 10G Service Oriented Architecture to support the vision of the Vodacom Network Management Group.● Completed an honours degree in knowledge management at the University of Stellenbosch.● Driving initiative to implement formal software engineering methodologies and Capability Maturity within the Application and Integration Management team. ● Completed the Foundation Management program for Managers within Vodacom. ● Facilitated offshore software development projects as technical lead outsourced to Tata Consulting Services and Nokia Siemens (NSN), in India● Completed training in TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)● Certified Level 2 on Frameworx (Etom)● Facilitated as technical lead, the development of the NMG Support Services Service Catalogue, outsourced to Nokia Siemens.● Implemented Standby Availability Roster integrated into the Network Management Toolset to reduce time for Fault Management handover on network alarms and conducted user training nationally

Developed applications in perl, unix shell scripting, awk, pl/sql and java utilizing Oracle databases, to support the OMTWEB portal (A Web-based portal of Operations Management) as it played a critical role in the Fault Management department of the Network Management Group. Provided application support to portal users and implemented new requirements as needed. Developed, implemented and plan solutions for the Tiscali Mobile Portal. Implemented an wap/sms gateway, as well as the silverstream java application framework for easy deployment of mobile portal components and functionality in other countries. Developed scalable architechtures for the mobile portal and its integration with other related services such as billing servers, mail servers and internet access provisioning. Used java, perl, html, javascript, wml on Oracle, Mysql, SQL Server databases..Accomplishments● Maintained and managed the Tiscali mobile portal, and rolled out functionality to different European countries.● Developed and tested mobile portal access through various browsers and mobile devices● Completed Diploma in E-Commerce Technologies at FTI. ● Assisted in the migration of new subscriber bases onto the existing billing platform after provisioning of users were completed.

• Developed applications and reports for the store merchandise availability program (MAP) in the Retail division of Woolworths. in order to receive stock at the 99 stores as well as dispatch stock to other stores. • Technologies Informix 4GL, SQL, Unix scripting. Stores also made use of radio frequency scanners to transmit barcode information.
