Currently we are planning the building for the Anchor Point Observatory at mile 159 on the Sterling Highway. Former Astronaut and NASA Geologist Palmer Bailey will be consulted for optics selection and drive mechanics. Excitement builds as we now have the driveway and building pad in. New technology plus spectral analysis may make this a very significant contribution in exo-planetary science. The Flint family so far is the chief contributor, but grant writing is on the horizon. It is our hopes as well that our property might be used for king salmon enhancements for the native Anchor River salmon population. Steel-head fishing is across the highway from our property and we are in development of several small cabins and a restaurant kitchen- for guests and family only. Perhaps to generate observatory funding we may utilize this wonderful fishery resource...Hope everyone comes to visit when completed...
