The management of an analysis and delivery team encompassing applications packaging, vendor engagement (and embattling!), development, customisation, change management.Development of effective procedures and protocols for all these items, including security management and both proactive and reactive responses to security issues.As a technical manager, I am deeply involved in the delivery of all these and often take on the workload myself.At present I manage two Applications Engineers, the BMC development and support team, three offshore Applications Packagers, one Business Systems Apprentice, and have open positions.

Leading a team of three support, two solutions, and one developer, to deliver to business needs the third party software they require.This involves frequent negotiation with third party suppliers, business stakeholders, and internal suppliers to make a solution which works for the requirements presented.

Design and delivery of third party solutions, to business needs, and third line support on the same. Engagement with the business on their requirements, design and delivery of uplifted legacy solutions, minimising business disruption on extremely legacy software.In this role, I delivered bespoke solutions which benefited the Eleclink project, the Hinkley Point C project and the M4 Smart Motorways project.

Responsible for the change management of all third party software, incorporating version control, release and change management, in an ITILv4 framework.This role blended into the next one.

Technical lead of a skilled Service Desk. We encompassed all front line IT delivery, including incident handling and basic asset management.

Handed the role (without interview!) after a temp role as a low level consultant. Handled all Service Desk duties, first line handling, triage, and resolution.

An 8 week fixed term contract, which extended, and extended, and then went non-temporary.This was to provide temporary additional capacity at an entry level, when management found I was operating at a level higher than expected.
