Duties include operation of large, Company-owned tractor-trailer combination, equipped with driver sleeper-berth. Deliveries performed in a 12-state area surrounding the state of Iowa. Some overnight duties required. In June 2015, my position at Verizon was transitioned to Ericsson Telecommunications. Not only are my skills as a DMS-250 and DMS-100-based telecommunications technician used in creating a lab simulation for production-like testing of products, I also am a software Tester. I write test cases and execute them for many of the calling card and post-paid telephony products we offer. This offering includes both TDM and VOIP technologies. As a DMS-250-based Telecommuncation Technician I performed call-processing system maintenance activities in our Cedar Rapids Test Lab. Maintaining various call-processing and transmission systems, I was responsible for the infrastructure for most of our Intelligent Services Lab installations and maintenance. This was my first job in the Telecommunications Industry. I became a technician maintaining and troubleshooting a node as part of the then-new Long Distance industry . Teleconnect eventually became part of MCI. I worked on Digital Switching Corporation (DSC) long distance DEX400 switches, doing billing backup, install/change/removal/testing of analog voice toll-circuits and T1s of many types including SF, 4-wire E&M and Loop-start.
