Wayne is an London based conservation architect working on public sector projects and private and self initiated developments. Current projects include higher education, healthcare, bio integrated design and public housing schemes.A recent project for Derbyshire Council, a new school in Alfreton Park has drawn interest from many groups and recently won the Architects Journal Education building of the Year + Civic Trust Award + Civic Trust Education project of the Year. Wayne is also an Honorary Patron of the UK reg Charity Ashok Tree Foundation project, funding and building a new school and healthcare centre for a rural community in India. He is also an RIBA reg Conservation Architect and RIBA Client Advisor, an appointed CABE Design Council - Built Environment Expert and appointed Public Governor to Homerton University Hospital London.

BDP director Wayne Head is one of three new members of The Civic Trust Awards National Panel, and is their first corporate member representative. Keith Williams and Bridget Sawyers also join the Panel for the 2012 application round.Wayne has always been interested in the Civic Trust Awards. He says: “The Trust's ethos of providing better places for people, is very close to BDP’s own aspiration to create human friendly, sustainable environments for the future. I will be judging the nominated buildings on the ease with which they engage with the community and become a familiar part of daily life belonging to both people and place.”Wayne has 15 years’ experience working on a wide range of projects, including healthcare, further education, universities and schools. He is currently BDP’s project director working on the masterplan for Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Trust Foundation. He also leads the design team for City College Norwich, an innovative design which seeks to showcase the twelve vocational schools within the campus and is aiming for BREAAM ‘Excellent’. He is a Design Council CABE Enabler assessing education and healthcare projects. He is visiting critic at Westminster University Studio 7 and is a Stephen Lawrence Trust Mentor
