Key Highlights and Achievements:- Analysed and calculated suitable pricing to recover costs that were worn by the business and established a mechanism to charge third party transport operators for accessing off-wharf facilities. Achieved industry reform through the implementation of a Vehicle Booking System which enabled existing costs to be recovered from third party transport operators.

Key Responsibilities:Appointed to restructure and re-focus the Finance team to meet the changing business needs, while overseeing all financial, commercial, and planning activities within the Group. Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, to develop and implement the strategy, while ensuring that systems and processes were in place to support the strategy.Key Highlights and Achievements:- Analysed and assessed the cost of operations to service the Atlas Iron contract by providing expert commercial and finance advice. Developed and created financial models for projected contract returns and likely scenarios. This allowed a new pricing structure that benefited from a stronger Iron Ore price whilst still maintaining a minimum return when the Iron Ore price reduced to be included as part of a new Atlas Contractor Collaboration Agreement.- Negotiated, managed, and administered the main procurement contracts and activities for the Group including fuel ($200M p.a.), flights ($10M p.a.) and Pilbara FIFO accommodation ($10M p.a.) including going to market and contract management. Achieved favourable commercial agreements with fuel suppliers (rate), airlines (market share, rate) and Pilbara camp providers (min usage and flexible rates).- Coached and counselled underperforming Melbourne based finance team members. Further reviewed and evaluated finance staff capabilities and location of team relative to main operations. Implemented new finance structure based in Perth which involved recruiting three new finance team members. This delivered improved business partnering support with closer alignment to the main WA operations.- Examined, assessed, and evaluated the Mackay administration structure that supported accounts receivable and payable in that region through numerous on-site visits and engagement with team members and other key stakeholders. Relocated the Mackay based roles to Melbourne which created efficiencies and reduced FTEs by 4.

The new Board report was in line with the Board expectations and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:As an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, and challenged with overseeing the finance and accounting function, procurement activities, commercial activities, project house and IT function.Key Highlights and Achievements:- Analysed and reviewed business improvement initiatives by providing financial expertise and leadership to the Six Sigma program. Contributed to the Six Sigma project hopper with new business improvement ideas, analysed and validated financial benefits from proposed projects and measured actual benefits from implemented projects. The Six Sigma program delivered at its peak, ~$15M EBIT improvement p.a.- Managed, led, and implemented an Enterprise Resource Planning System (PeopleSoft) project in my first year through the participation and contribution in project meetings, scoped user requirements, established reporting requirements and communication. This resulted in improved efficiencies from the elimination of manual paperwork and significantly improved financial controls (Work flowed PO approvals and capital approvals).
