I am a market-leader in Innovation, Offsite/MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) strategy and company roadmaps for change and delivery. My current role is Production Strategy Director at L&Q, the largest Housing Association in the UK providing homes for over 250,000 residents. At L&Q I have created and led the strategy and implementation of a visionary 10year roadmap, designed to deliver 100,000 new homes. Covering the transition to fully imbedded MMC, Zero Carbon and the digital twin/golden thread initiatives. I have been the author of a number of industry firsts by way of Innovation and MMC strategy, team composition, and collaborative working practices, helping to align construction approaches closer to manufacturing and production principles. My approach and methodology have now resulted in awards, and L&Q is now widely hailed as having one of the UK’s leading strategies for successful transition from traditional construction to MMC and setting a housing performance standard beyond the current UK sustainability targets. Previously to this, I also led the strategy and implementation of the DfMA and standardisation works for Countryside Properties housing portfolio. A passionate and keen advocate of the modernisation in the Housing sector, I am an international advisor and many of my strategies and principles are now being adopted by the wider sector in the UK, towards solving the housing crisis. This encompasses significant active engagement and giving consultation and thought leadership, to government and industry bodies alike. I have also led L&Q in a series of successful Industry collaborative initiatives including the AIMCH research project www.aimch.co.uk - a flagship UKIR funded 3yr modernisation and innovation demonstrator for the housing sector. In addition to this, my teams have delivered a number of sector innovations including the creation of the Digital and MMC App ‘CoLab’, and acting as the company lead on the GLA sponsored ‘PRISM’ App.

Heading up an ambitious 10-year road map to cement L&Q as one of the industry leaders in MMC and Zero Carbon homes. Starting with the formation and growth of a new Production Strategy team to deliver the plan, structured under 2 main sub headings - Production Development and Production Delivery. Covering the following outputs. 1. Innovation – Creating an Industry first to housing design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA), by way of methodology and approach.2. Procurement and Materials Frameworks – Covering our development pipeline, and to support our new ways of building. Utilising and the implementation of new industry procurement, contractual approaches, and relationships. 3.
