I grew up in western Washington where I have lived all my life. I was raised in family that was in the timber industry, so I went to the University of Washington and earned a Bachelor's of Science in Forest Management. Upon graduation I went to work for Hertz Equipment Rental as I have always had a passion for mechanical things. After earning my stripes at Hertz an opportunity at NC Machinery (Caterpillar) came open and that is where I spent 16 years developing my skills. I had been given the chance to learn so much about the different aspects of the heavy equipment business through the several positions I had held at NC. I started out as a management trainee, then was a parts and service sales rep, then hydraulic/machine shop supervisor, then oil lab manager, then truck engine business manager, then rental area sales manager, then product support sales manager, and then rental alliance sales manager. Through these positions I also traveled and learned much about the geographic territory NC covers which includes Washington, Montana, and Alaska. A great regional sales manager opportunity at Peterson Cat became available so I switched dealerships in June 2014.For fun I enjoy sports that involve mechanical things. I competitively raced stand up watercraft at the world level for 11 years, ending in 2008. I now enjoy snowmobiling, boating, dirt biking, weight lifting, and travel.
