Initially I was contracted to Yancoal’s Ashton mine in the Hunter Valley as temporary Commercial Manager, managing a team of four accounting personnel with the primary task of liaising with the business to complete the 2011 budget. I was then asked to join the SAP implementation and business transformation project in Brisbane as the FI-CO Business Process Lead. During this time I was responsible for liaising with the business and documenting process and implementation blueprints, collating and migrating data to SAP, conducting onsite training, ongoing SAP financial support and various projects including implementing a new profit centre framework, coordinating the 2013 budget process and managing the updating of the fixed asset registers for all sites.Responsibilities and Tasks Undertaken:• Reviewing, analysing and mapping the business financial requirements and completing detailed functional blueprints.• Coordinating and undertaking Integration and User Acceptance Testing• Developed FI-CO training material and conducted site and corporate training in FI-CO modules• Data migration of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Fixed assets to SAP including development of LSMW’s and Procapture.• Coordinated the reengineering and development of a new Chart of Accounts including cost and profit centres.• Coordinated and developed SAP Management Accounting reports in Financial Accounting, Cost Centre Accounting and Profit Centre Accounting.• Provided ongoing FI-CO support to four mine sites and the corporate office• Developed and implemented a plan to migrate to a new profit centre hierarchy• Project managed updating of the Fixed Asset register in SAP for Book, Tax, Revaluation, Fair Value and MRRT.• Developing and updating SAP assessment and distribution cycles.
