I have been in the construction industry for 41 years starting as a roofing labourer at the age of 15 straight from school, I progressed up the ladder excuse the pun until I was experienced enough to start on my own working with several different companies learning new skills and different roofing systems over time, I then joined Connaught integrated property solutions where I installed the steel roofing system called Metro tile also cladding systems such as Structherm.Whist working with Connaught they moved to another part of the company which was retail building services where I would cover all parts of the UK mainly city centres doing shop maintenance covering all trades roofing, carpentry, basic plumbing, flooring, painting& decorating, graphics installation.I then returned to working with local companies mixing my multi-skilled abilities with my roofing knowledge, I then had to take some time off to look after my seriously I’ll mother and transporting her to hospital and any other appointments in between this I was working for a loft conversation company applying my roofing skills once again.
