We are Christians passionate about ending poverty, following Jesus where the need is greatest. We work through a network of Christian service organizations and local churches that are at the heart of their communities, empowering the poor to use their own resources to exit poverty. When disaster strikes we are there to provide emergency relief and comfort to victims of natural and manmade disasters.1 Transitioned the organization from World Relief to Tearfund Canada, part of a family of organizations committed to serving through the church of the Global South, so that we could fulfill the mandate of our founders. 2 Integrated of Church-based Community Transformation programming into all of Tearfund's relief and development activities to see God bring whole-life transformation to those in greatest need. 3 Moved beyond only providing food assistance, to providing emotional, physical, and spiritual healing through Biblically-based trauma healing of victims of sexual and gender-based violence in humanitarian crisis. 4 Deepened partner relationships as we served the poorest together. 5 Led the organization in practical and relevant reconciliation with the First Peoples of Canada, Wayne through planting sustainable herds of buffalo on First Nations land. 6 Doubled program delivery through church-led initiatives (from $3.4 to $7.8 million) while reducing overhead costs from 19% to less than 14%.

Uses a very practical, action-oriented consultative approach, having assisted over 60 Canadian and international non-profits reach higher levels of organizational performance. Key consultative activities include organizational assessments, strategic planning, major donor fundraising, capital campaign management, marketing and brand awareness, program design and implementation, impact assessment and reporting, board governance, and financial administration.Provided major donor and capital campaign consulting on long-term museum and hospital contracts. Developed and implemented major donor and government fundraising plans using both a direct ask approach and through coaching volunteers to ask of their peers. The Bridgeway Foundation is one of Canada’s largest private charitable foundations. It collaborates with innovators to grow healthy and productive non-profit organizations, and to help them engage in creative transformational projects both within Canada and the developing world. Acting as the in-house organizational consultant, used a very practical, solution-focused consulting style to assist 24 Canadian non-profits to reach higher levels of organizational performance.

A world-wide leader in microfinance that provides the means and opportunity for people living in poverty to work their way out of poverty through micro enterprise development. Recruited to be the first CEO. Hired to launch and build the organization from a dream held by 8 board members to be the leading Canadian micro credit organization. Under Wayne’s leadership annual growth of over 50% was achieved, raising over $4 million with only 5 staff in 4 years after organizational start-up. 5 staff. Capitalized over 25,000 micro businesses in Latin America and Africa.

Port Sydney Ontario

One of Canada's largest children's camps, serving approximately 2500 children and youth annually. Recruited to reverse a 12-year decline that affected camper registration, staff recruitment, camper and donation income, and alumni support and organizational impact. The result was a period of massive change in organizational culture. Camper enrolment increased by 80%, alumni came back to the camp and donors were retained, and revenue by increased by 210% over a 4 year time period.
