If the cause is right in my soul I can fundraise better than a slot machine in Vegas.I know the issues facing injured veterans in Canada like the back of my hand. They tell me I am a good speaker, particularly on mental health, PTSD, and the attached stigma. Passionate on ending mentalhealth/PTSD stigma. Being a sufferer of PTSD due to service to Canada. I never knew stigma inside the Canadian Forces. However outside a totally different story Wounded Warriors Canada practiced so much stigma I left/pushed out..I put my heart soul into it...only to be thrown away. Speaks volumes of the lack of decently of the people involved. The charities motto "compassion and support". I saw little of it. Ironic that I was pushed out due to mental health. They now say I am not the founder rather it was a founding board...REALLY. As they say defeat is an orphan victory has many fathers. I didn't see the founding board when I said let's start a charity and here's how and why... FOLLOW ME...In the day a pretty good soldier.Believe Canada needs to be governed in the centre. I am a Tommy Douglas Cdn with a touch of Pearson and Trudeau. Oh yes I am a car guy drive a 13 Benz GLK 250 and have a 66 Mustang a 74 MGB GT and 14 Triumph Thunderbird 1600 along with a 05 HD Dyna.

Ptsd/Mental Health/Veterans AdvocateSelf Oct 2006 - PresentBrooklin OntIn general a good guy who has done some stupid things. Who of us haven't. I'm a passionate advocate to further the cause of injured CF veterans. In particular those suffering from mental health issues. As a sufferer of PTSD due to being National Repatriation Officer to the fallen. Honoured to have done the task. Great for my soul broke my heart. Mental health does not kill people, sadly people kill people. It is the STIGMA that causes suicide. I am open about my mental health because of the stigma. I know the issues that face those injured with mental health issues. I walk the walk and talk the talk.A proven advocate to restore the security and dignity back to Canada's wounded. Having worked casualty management in the CF I am well aware of the challenges faced by the wounded and their families. I know the far reaching impact of the "New Veterans Charter". Of particular concern is the needless suicides of those who have had their souls torn from them.I am an accomplished speaker with a solid track record. Additionally I am well experienced as a spokesperson within government and non profit to the external audience. I have been well trained in corporate communication and am well versed in public affairs/PR. Very able in dealing with all media print, radio and TV.I am available for speaking engagements on mental health, PTSD, stigma. Additionally as a accomplished fundraiser I am available to consult on how best to raise funds. I am a out of the box thinker when it comes to problem solving for causes that I believe in.Call me crazy and a few shrinks might. I am all about "purity of purpose" Mrs J and I are quite comfortable. I offer my consultancy for gratis. Yes indeed nothing other than occurred legit expenses. Unlike those ED's etc in charities who make a living on the backs of the injured. The truth be told after 41 years soldiering PTSD is the hardest thing I have ever done

FounderFounder Wounded Warriors Canada Oct 2006 - Oct 2013Founder, was also fundraising director until end Sept 2013. All volunteer work raised approx $5M Cdn on my own in support of mental health programs. Coined the phrase "honour the fallen help the living". Left/pushed out of the charity because of my PTSD and board of directors mental illness stigma. All rather ironic...
