Wayne is a second career pastor, serving as associate pastor for compassion ministries at Community Presbyterian Church in Ventura, CA. A US Marine Corps veteran, Wayne completed his Juris Doctor in 1978, then began a career as a Special Agent (Criminal Investigator) for the US Customs Service, investigating the smuggling of strategic arms, drugs, money laundering and child pornography. As a Special Agent, Wayne served in Washington DC, Los Angeles CA, Ventura County CA and Bonn Germany. After Wayne retired from criminal investigations in 2003, he started Fuller Seminary the next morning, receiving his Master of Divinity (together with his son Jeff) in 2008. Wayne is ordained as a Presbyterian Minister of Word and Sacrament.
