    EMDR Therapy is an evidence-based treatment for PTSD and successful outcomes are well-documented in the literature for the use of EMDR Therapy in the treatment of other psychiatric disorders. This treatment approach often results in the alleviation of presenting symptoms, a decrease or elimination of distress from disturbing memories, an improved view of the self, relief from body disturbances, and resolution of present and future anticipated triggers (EMDRIA). The Basic Training consists of 20 hours of didactic learning, 20 hours of practice, and 10 hours of consultation.
