As President of National Housing Associates, Inc., a non-profit focused on developing affordable housing, I have overseen the growth of the organization from $3,000 to over $3.2 million in total assets. I have developed low income housing tax credit properties, all of which are stabilized with an average occupancy of 98.7% and an average DCR of 4.25:1. For financial institutions, I have underwritten over $2.5 billion in investments and performed over 200 site visits, as well as negotiated investment opportunities with developers and syndicators. With over 30 years of experience in financial advising and credit underwriting, I have also served as President of Fifth Third Bank’s Community Development Corporation and worked for Banc One Corporation in a variety of commercial banking and community development roles.

    NHA is a non-profit formed in 1997 to support affordable housing. NHA works with for-profit developers in the Midwest to provide services to the tenants in affordable housing communities. NHA currently has four stabilized LIHTC properties in Kentucky: Maysville, Paris, Lexington and Danville. We are currently working on our fifth LIHTC award to provide housing for victims of domestic violence in Hazard, KY. NHA is working with the Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence to provide this much needed housing.
