I am not your typical CFO who sits behind a desk analysing graphs. I prefer to be in the trenches, hands-on getting broadly involved in the business. I believe in doing things smarter and am always on the lookout for triggers to change things up. I prefer being ahead of the curve and am also a quick decision-maker trusting my gut for answers. I believe I’m a real-time creative CA who supports businesses that value people and are forward-thinking. I like to work for companies that are owner-managed where they prefer someone who likes to be hands-on. I want to make a difference and I believe the only way to do that is to be where the workers are daily. I enjoy the idea of starting in one position and being given the opportunity to move up the ladder where I can make a difference to each aspect of the business. I consider myself more of an Intrepreneur than an Entrepreneur.The ability to overlay different sets of information and create a story makes me somewhat of an alchemist when it comes to business. One that engages people and communicates my vision for the business and the way forward. I am very creative in my thinking and results-driven.Aside from work, which is my passion, I also love whisky and all the ins and outs of the process of whisky. I love researching it and enjoy tasting and testing different whiskies from different countries. I find pure enjoyment in the ritual of just drinking it. Above all, I find it immensely pleasurable and gratifying and love knowing everything about it. That is one of my passions outside of work, another I consider to be extremely gratifying is mountain biking and spending quality time with my family, especially my kids.
