My first exposure to sports and fitness came by way of Boxing and Hockey. I also have a brother who was an elite gymnast which exposed me to strength building using body weight. I'v always love cross training so after Boxing my next endeavour was Mixed Martial Arts. This allowed me to study Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling. Which i still train in today. Always looking for ways to challenge myself and improve i then began more Olympic WeightLifting, KettleBell, and Power Lifting.My partner Minako and I then finally decided to start Integrated Combative Arts & Development (a.k.a ICAD). Our mission and vision is to invite people from all walks of life to join in with us to see themselves become the strongest version of themselves. With ICAD we have successfully be involved with teaching Self Defence to Summer Camp elementary students as well as various High Schools. Running Fitness Classes and Fitness Challenges through out Calgary and Canmore. Our fitness competition include 2 Spartan Races. Half and Full Hawaiian Marathon. 3 World Health Games for WellSprings. Fem Sport. As well as Boxing and MMA.We have also conducted seminars for personal protection, weapons training and Jiu Jitsu. i also volunteered as a grappling referee for the S7 Submission Grappling League. For the past 8 years i'v been a successful personal trainer at World Health advancing to the level of Elite Plus Fitness Trainer. Currently my studies involve more Yoga under my amazing partner Minako. She is also studying to be a Registered Message Therapist. If anything she is my most important inspiration.Together we have traveled to Japan, New York, Mexico, and California to expand our Fitness knowledge.
