I began my working career in 1975 doing custom residential and light commerical construction work in Decatur. In 1980 I began coordinating and managing these types of projects. In 1990 I was hired into the Plant Engineering department at Decatur Memorial Hospital doing construction related projects. In 1995 I was promoted to coordinate all hospital construction and equipment replacement related projects. My involvement included the coordination with the design process, implementation of the work and coordination and tracking of all of the facility departments capital projects. Working for Decatur Memorial Hospital since 1990 I have held the positions of Maintenance Worker II (1990), Maintenace worker III (1992), Project Coordinator (1995), Construction Manager (2001), Assistant Facilities Director (2009) and and Executive Director, Facilities (2013).Today I am responsible for the departments of Clinical Engineering, Construction, Environmental Services, Facilities, Plant Engineering, Security and Real Estate.
