CurrentOperating two diverse regional pub assets, one waterside destination venue and overseeing multiple wider group functions for the Taphouse Hotel Group.I commenced with an in-depth analysis of the financial & operational effectiveness of the Port Macquarie Venues and then strategically built a 12mth & 24mth business plan to provide significant uplift in the profitability of the venues and promote to the shareholders a wider Capex program to further enhance each business.Repositioning each venue to meet the niche markets to being meet by these venues and competitors enabled growth in sales across On premise bars & food operations, accommodation, gaming & wagering & Retail.Developing the skillsets of key management personnel, improved procurement, staff training was the catalyst to obtaining the first goal of improving EBITDA. Record net profits showing double digit percentage growth, coinciding with the two most difficult years the hospitality industry has faced was a proud outcome.Forsight of the personnel challenges brought about creating staff pathways into management careers. A detailed Staff training matrix, attractive remuneration strategy and systematic mentoring meant that whilst many operators have had prolonged closures and/or reduce trading capacity, the Taphouse venues in Port Macquarie have continued to trade through with record results.Implementing infrastructure around POS, Time & Attendance, Ordering platforms to improve accountability, data analysis to enhance offers and of course operational effectiveness meant we were able to save costs while improving sales.
