Meat Cutter Sobeys Dec 2019 – March 1, 2021 In this position, I specialize in prime cuts and service case excellence, setting the standard for Canada-wide Service Case displays. I have taken the standard set by Corporate Sobeys to the limit and this makes our product appealing to the customers. I believe in taking the time to create a quality cut of meat and displaying it in a way that tells the customer we care and want to give them only the best. I continue to be a customer service specialist. Providing Customers with an excellent experience is what I strive for. I have been recognized by Corporate Executives, Management, staff, and customers for my respectful, thoughtful, and honest interactions. I connect with the customers and have created a strong customer base that requests my service. For me, it isn’t about the dollar but about the customer leaving feeling that I care about them. I believe customers deserve my time and respect and make it a point to come from behind my counter to greet them. I take pride in knowing I have developed a regular customer base. The product knowledge I gained as a cashier has allowed me to go above and beyond to support customers with products even outside of the Seafood Department. I keep up to date on new products so I can promote them to customers. I have become efficient at using CAO to complete such tasks as ordering, cycle counts, and product transfers. As well, I effectively use FIM to keep track of daily production, spot checks, and shrink. I follow safety protocol by keeping up-to-date floor logs, cook logs, temperature logs, sanitation logs, and daily reductions. interviewing and hiring employees for the department, attending daily store huddles, and assisting MOD. I support and build a team environment by having one on one chats and assessments, being open to others’ ideas and opinions, and being comfortable having hard conversations. I believe if you want respect you need to give it. I help other departments when in need with the best experience of customers in mind. I maintain a high standard within the department by ensuring wrap cases are full with a variety of products, working back stock, both frozen and fresh, ordering fresh products daily, and creating an exemplary ice table display. I value ongoing learning and education as reflected in the numerous E-Learning Courses I have completed since becoming an employee of Sobeys.
