Work with teams to prepare, train, and conduct process improvement events utilizing Lean and Six Sigma Tools. Develop and prepare materials for use in events, coordinate with department managers and participants, lead instruction on the use of process improvement tools, facilitate team decisions, monitor team work, use available resources to help resolve team conflict, assist in the development of implementation action plans, and conduct follow-up.

Ensure a cost effective, uninterrupted supply of material to the site operation while controlling costs and minimize obsolescence/waste, while constantly seeking process improvements. Ensure continuous cost savings are realized; reduce supply risks, ensure lowest total cost of ownership for items purchased; improve dept processes by reviewing and utilizing automation.Manage, supervise and promote 9 direct reports in 2 warehouses that maintain $11M of inventory.Manage monthly MRO spend of $3M (not including capital purchases)Communicate with internal and external customers / suppliers to ensure material needed is delivered in a cost effective and timely fashion. Regular review of production plan, order demand, reports to balance inventory with consumption.Ensure all daily Purchasing / Stores functions are conducted as scheduled including purchasing, receiving, issuing, cycle counts, inventory stocking level maintenance, shipping, expediting, core management, obsolete management, supplier management, audit requests (Internal and External) etc.Monitor, review, report, and action of site inventory values to ensure maintenance of appropriate inventory levels. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain firm price agreements for local commodity groups, capital or non-stock items and warrantee settlements. Maintain relationship with suppliers on Corporate agreements ensure no leakage from agreements. Monitor and report on consignment, committed, and vendor managed inventory agreements.Utilize lean and Six Sigma tools to work toward continuous improvements and Best Practices in; supplier relations; maximum use of company systems and processes to capture efficiency and cost benefits, as well as inventory accuracy and cost improvements.Develop and maintain various purchasing and inventory reports for Senior Management.
