Currently working as an on site machinist/ bolting tech, also trained in flange management (JII) and Ultrasonic bolt scope operator, working onshore and offshore on oil and gas installations also GWO wind farms.Working on shutdowns, new builds etc, Pipe cutting, flange facing, also bolting work using hand and hydraulic torque and tensioning methods, along with quality material and flange face inspection and alignment, all to gain a leak free start up.Reading P&IDs, tagging joints, also using permit to work system and job risk assessment, and flange break register to record work stages.

Lynemouth Smelter

Working as part of a team decommissioning an aluminium smelter, removal of flow line pipes and PSVs and blindings using hand and hydraulic torque techniques.Also using oxygen acetylene cutting equipment and removal using overhead cranes, lifting and slinging and banksman duties.Reading P&IDs and following permit to work, per job risk assessment and safety interventions.Been part of the plants rescue team I was also trained in rescue from height/ confined spaces, also a breathing apparatus wearer and first aid trained.
