Wayne Mcfadden is a IT Specialist (INFOSEC) at Air National Guard. He possess expertise in information assurance, security clearance, program management, windows server, security and 19 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "I worked directly on a day to day basis with Mr. Wayne McFadden from May 2006 until my retirement in December 2011 at the National Guard Bureau (NGB) at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. This location houses the majority of the national headquarters for the Air National Guard which is a component of the United States Air Force. Personnel on location consist of 1800 full time military, civilians and contractors. During this period Mr. McFadden was responsible for a wide spectrum of primary responsibilities which include Help Desk Management, Information Technology (IT) Hardware Asset Management, Information Assurance Compliance, and Configuration Management. He also performed other additional duties such as Building Manager for the IT Warehouse. The team that myself and Mr. McFadden were part of conducted cradle to grave operations in handling all aspects of IT support for approximately 8,600 pieces of mandatorily accountable Air Force equipment. These included servers, switches, routers, laptops, desktops, tablets, VOIP phones, blackberry smart phones and flat panels along with all peripherals. Each of these accountable pieces was life cycle replaced at least once and in some cases twice depending on the category, during that 5 year period. Mr. McFadden was personally involved in touching nearly 100 percent of every new piece of hardware that came in and disposed of during this time frame. In this 5 plus year period Mr. McFadden directly contributed to the communications team at the National Guard Bureau passing (3) Air Force mandated Unit Compliance Inspections (2006/2009/2011) with grades of Outstanding, Outstanding and Excellent respectively. He was also part of several Staff Assistance Visits (SAV’s) which are preparation practice inspections, all with positive results. His contributions were on all levels from technical to management. He is a constant team builder and mentor to all. Any organization he is in will benefit immensely from his natural leadership.
