Assisted Southside Oil (Richmond, VA) in the purchase of over 200 retail sites from ExxonMobil in the Maryland and Northern VA marketing area on a consulting basis. The sale was completed and I was subsequently hired by the new company, Mid-Atlantic Convenience Stores.

Divested company owned sites to jobbers/dealers for continued supply and branding relationship. Projects included divestments of the following areas. Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Youngstown, Akron and Canton, Ohio and South Florida/

Responsible for soliciting, evaluating and closing the sale of the BP company owned assets in the greater Philadelphia area to area distributors while leveraging the sale for new business in addition liquidating the assets.

Reponsible for implementing divestment plan to sell retail sites to dealers for continued operation as a BP station. The sales were selected to prepare for expansion of franchise offering.

Managed jobber/distributor channel to implement marketing programs, grow sales within territory and general customer relationships and assistance with conducting business with Amoco.

Recruited competitive jobbers/distributors of other gasoline brands to re-brand their retail sites to the Amoco brand. Selling of the retail sites site in selected underperforming Mid-Atlantic counties to jobbers and leveraging the sites for growing the business with competitve conversions.

Responsible for managing the Amoco Oil retail dealer organization in Maryland. Managed a team of 6 territory managers with sales, promotional, compliance and general operational responsibilities.

Managed 6 commission sales reps. in the Mid-Atlantic, NY/NJ area and South Florida selling tires, batteries and accessories to Amoco branded service stations.

Responsible implememnting marketing programs from General Office to the field staff in the Mid-Atlantic area. Also responsible for training new hires for territory manager position, leading charity (Johns Hopkins Children Center) fund raising,monitoring site evaluations for appearance and cleanliness and other general merchandising activities.

Light Oils Pricing Specialist - Responsible for analyzing competitive pricing at all east of the Mississippi supply terminals and support the Light Oils Pricing Manager in daily adjustments to all light oil products pricing.

Responsible for evaluating marketing projects, incentives and other projects for effectiveness and designing future projects for increased improvement in performance.

Responsible for managing a sales territory in Brooklyn/Queens for one year and then promoted to growing territory in the Bronx and Manhattan.
