My initial focus within this role was to lead the company-wide roll out of SolidWorks and provide ongoing support in the integration of the custom developed in-house ordering system, whilst still working with ARB. Following this, I transitioned into a Project Management role, managing the end to end delivery of many switchboards. Within this role. I comprehensively managed production costing, BOMs and routings across all production lines, with responsibility for designing high performing production tooling, jigs and gauges using SolidWorks CAD. Additionally, I managed the manufacture and verification of production tooling and product OTSs, led the troubleshooting of issues through effective root cause analysis and managed the end to end planning and delivery of a diverse range of projects.Selected Highlights:► Successfully automated drawing creation using VBA macros, resulting in less delays due to incorrect syntax

With independent responsibility for identifying and troubleshooting machine dynamic issues, I also worked as part of a team of Engineers responsible for checking and validating new machine and system designs in ANCA in order to prevent future issues. This included developing best practice procedures to select, design and specify experiments to determine solutions to dynamic stiffness, and vibration problems. I regularly liaised with specialised consultants to achieve a better understanding of complex issues experienced, as well as coordinating with engineers globally to test various prototype solutionsSelected Highlights:► Working in Labview and utilising highly accurate capacitance sensors, I developed an in-machine test procedure to measure sub-micron error motion of the grinding machines in order to isolate problems and develop solutions to surface finish issues ► Created a test bench for various rotational components (high speed spindles and torque motors) before being installed into machines, reducing the number of machines failing commissioning by 20%.► Verified and improved existing designs by conducting Frequency Response Function (FRF) experiments, Mode Shape Analysis, Operational Shape Deflection (ODS) and data logging of various machine parameters. A combination of the above resulted in a stability improvement across machines company wide, reducing the number of associated faults and returns by 40%.

Working as a Mechanical Engineer within ANCA's Quality & Improvements team, my role focused on conducting root cause analysis (8D & FMEA), implementing containment and permanent corrective actions, updating or creating FMEAs, updating drawings (CAD) and ensuring correct BOMs. I also rationalised GD&T to ensure design intent was communicated effectively.The investigations spanned:► Pneumatic & hydraulic systems► Electro-mechanical drives► Servo motor design► Chemical resistance analysis and testing► Vibration analysis (mode shapes, ODS, and FRFs)Along with Australian Standards, CAE was utilised to ensure sound solutions were implemented after first checking with first principles. My work on these improvement tasks was instrumental in increasing profits and helped to achieve all of the KPIs for our group including DIFOT, warranty cost/100 units sold & CAPAs closed per month.

As a Machine Operator, I worked as part of a team to ensure the line ran smoothly and that product was delivered on time, at the highest possible quality. At times, to clear the machine of jams, I handled glass of various thicknesses in an untempered state. I was also responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the machines, along with weekly machine calibration.

Within this role, I supported the design and manufacture of specialised truck service bodies and systems, consulting with customers on the design of specialised truck service bodies to determine their needs and working with other designers to develop solutions. This required the use of calculations using first principles to ensure structural integrity was maintained under all use conditions whilst ensuring that the hydraulic and electrical systems were well specified to provide a long life.Additionally, I validated CAD models to ensure smooth and trouble-free production, as well as developing and maintaining complex assemblies and creating custom macros to eliminate human error and minimise non-value adding activities.

As a Delivery Driver and Final Assembly Worker, I managed the final assembly of products; operating brake presses, a laser cutter and a turret punch. I also assisted the Production Manager with the processing of new jobs, drawing creation/interpretation and the development of documentation and other tools to create manufacturable products. Additionally, I conducted site visits to measure and develop solutions to customers issues and successfully commissioned the installation of machine guards on multiple machines.

During my time studying at university, I was a core member of the Formula SAE teamSome key highlights included overseeing the design and construction of jigs required for the destructive testing of components, conducting the testing on various components utilising the structure's laboratory facilities found on campus to prove they met the rules and regulations of the competition.In my final year of study, myself and three other students conducted our final year project on "The suitability of composite materials for suspension components in electric vehicles" and concluded that there is just cause and strong evidence to support the replacement of traditional materials with composite materials in the suspension of electric vehicles.

Within this contract role, I supported line managers by obtaining and processing operational data, as well as assisting in the transition to a new computer system, ensuring all essential performance data remained intact. Additionally, I developed training manuals for new and existing machines to communicate correct set up and operating procedures and aid the understanding of how each machine operated. I also provided coaching and support to the production team and maintenance fitters on the new system and chaired a number of root cause analysis meetings to investigate and develop solutions to complex operational issues. I subsequently liaised with the engineering department and collected data to establish maintenance schedules and improve machine efficiency, analysed systems to reduce bottlenecks and drive performance, and reverse engineered a new machine for which I rectified an installation issue encountered after commissioning was complete.

During my time working at Broadacres Enterprises, my role included undertaking service work and repairs on various farm equipment and machinery, as well as operating farming equipment, fabricating parts and tools, and troubleshooting operational issues. I gained valuable experience in unguided root cause analysis and the ability to be hands in rectifying the issues encountered.
