➢ Responsible for all aspects of Parole Area operations, which include supervision of a staff team of 60 and offender population of 600, management of Community Residential Facility contracts (half-way houses), and numerous community-based treatment programs.➢ Contracted with 16 non-profit agencies to provide residential care for 210 offenders on conditional release in the Lower Mainland, Prince George, and Whitehorse➢ Managed the community liaison program with other federal and provincial government agencies, First Nations, private sector agencies, municipalities, citizen advisory committees, municipal advisory committees, elected officials, victims’ advocacy groups, the RCMP and other municipal police forces.➢ Established a model residential facility (Belkin’s House) via partnership with the City of Vancouver and the Salvation Army, to address civic housing concerns and facilitate the reintegration of conditional release offenders in Vancouver➢ In collaboration with after-care agencies and non-profit organizations, developed and implemented specialized residential programs targeting substance abuse, family violence, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum/Effects (F.A.S/E), mental health, and Aboriginal programs➢ Established quality control processes and conducted audits and follow-up assessments of Area Parole Office operations and Community Residential Facility operations.➢ Managed budget of $8 million for residential services.➢ Managed operating budget of $4 million for parole area operations.
