3GPP Pre-Certification Testing Manager• Personally interviewed, staffed, trained and managed the day-to-day activities of the pre-certification team in the Irving office.• Managed RF and Protocol testing activities for the Storm, Storm 2, Tour, Curve, Bold, PlayBook, Z10, Q10 and Q5 Blackberry models.• Responsible for guaranteeing that Qualcomm chipset-based Blackberry products passed all protocol and RF certification tests. The lab’s focus was on the 3GPP specifications required by GCF and PTCRB. The team executed tests, documented all non-conformances, worked with software and hardware designers to determine root case of non-conformances and interfaced with the formal certification labs to resolve issues encountered during formal testing.• Developed test strategies to certify multiple products and software versions and maintaining product schedules and product quality.• Established a cooperative working relationship between the Irving TX lab and the labs in Bochum Germany, Waterloo Ontario and Sunrise Florida. This cooperation allowed for testing to be offloaded to other labs during schedule crunches. More importantly, it significantly reduced the equipment capitalization costs at each lab.• Communicated directly with Qualcomm to address certification issues found in their chipsets.AT&T 10776 Product Acceptance Testing Manager• Created an internal lab specifically to cover the AT&T 10776 product acceptance spec. Managed the testing of “Section 1 – Radio” and the Application Protect the Network portion of “Section 5 – Applications”.• Combined BlackBerry engineers with subcontracted Aircom AVL personnel to perform AT&T testing internally.• Worked with Aircom to resolve issues found during formal testing in their AVL.• Interfaced directly with Qualcomm to address AT&T related problems with their chipsets.

Operator Acceptance Testing Specification Manager•Studied customer product acceptance specifications from both AT&T and T-Mobile to create and maintain the testing processes used by Nokia’s San Diego, Germany, Denmark, Finland and China product creation centers to guarantee operator acceptance of all Nokia products. •Involved taking each new customer spec release and organizing it into sub-specs that were assigned to specific internal testing teams for testing.
