About Wayne Patrick
I am a biochemist who cares about evolution. Together with my supremely talented students and postdocs, I address fundamental questions about the evolution of enzymes and metabolic processes. We also translate our fundamental understanding into smart, enzyme-based biotechnologies. Right now we are shedding new light on microbial evolution, improving deep sequencing methods, building better RNA vaccines, and beta-testing our prototype biosensors in the beverage and biomedical industries. There has never been a better time to be an enzymologist!
