After being inspired during the 2008 Beijing Olympics and over a decade of working in a mundane world of manufacturing management, targets and timetables. It was time to break free of engineering and follow my interest of sport and exercise, into a career that would give me the satisfaction I craved .With no formal anatomy knowledge, I enrolled into 4 more years of Adult College and University Level education whilst balancing this with my employment and family life .Now a fully qualified Sports Therapist I was lucky enough to be offered a part time role within the medical team of a professional football club 'Shrewsbury Town', to whom I will always be indebted too, for giving me that chance. With these I was able to gain valuable experience working in an elite environment from both a pitch-side and clinic based rehabilitation point of view . As well as Shrewsbury Town, I was also seeing/treating local patients privately and also held the position of Sports Therapist with my hometown football club Newtown AFC, in the welsh premier league . After a good number of years juggling all of this it was time to take the leap of faith and pursue my Sports Therapy career full time .Then taking the position of head Sports Therapist at current National league side 'Wrexham professional football club', work for my country at national level for the Football Association of Wales and own a thriving private clinic based at a gym I co-own locally (Active8).I also am a Coach Educator for the Football association of Wales where I teach First Aid , I have lectured Part Time at Glyndwr University on the Physio Degree Programme and currently setting up my own Education Company Arm, where I will produce and deliver bespoke First Aid quals across a range of sports and industries .I have also worked within Professional Cycling at Both the Tour of Britain and Down Hill World Cup. Three of my Private clients are World Champions To say following my dream has been hard is an understatement, but with an awful lot of hard work, support and determination it truly was the best decision I have ever made.'Don't let anybody tell you that you can't achieve something' and 'don't be scared to follow your dreams'.
