Client Electrical Engineer (site based) for a $400M (AUD) HV and LV switchboard upgrade in an operating LNG plant located on the north west coast of Western Australia. The facility boasts 5 LNG process trains, 2 domestic gas extraction and compression trains, 3 fractionation process trains, 5 condensate stabilising trains, associated utilities, 10 power generation turbines (280 MW total) and 33, 6.6 and 0.415 kV power distribution systems. The upgrade is in execution as a brownfields project, where switchboard replacement is performed with minimal impact to production. Planning requires expertise in Electrical Engineering, process operation and balancing, along with stakeholder management of the EP contractor, facility maintenance and operations teams.Commenced the site based role when the project moved into execution, working for the delivery team. Prior to execution I worked in the engineering phase with the EP contractor to develop package engineering requirements, execution risk assessments and planning.
