I began my 43-year career in telecommunications starting as a lineman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. After working a variety of non-management positions I was promoted into management as an OSP (Outside Plant) engineer. As a manager, I worked in several positions dealing with OSP, an assignment with personal computer support and data systems networking, a supervisor of translations specialists, and as a long range planning engineer before moving into Structured Cabling as a sales support engineer for deregulated services. After retiring from SBC in November of 2000, I worked as a contract consulting engineer continuing to expand my experience by working with companies of various sizes to maximize the value of their investments in network infrastructure before beginning my career with CNI.I have been a RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) since 1997. This is an industry recognized certification through BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International). I also completed the requirements and hold a certification as a Registered Telecom-munications Project Management (RTM) also offered through BICSI.
