Wayne has over 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity capital, and business valuations and fairness opinions. His clients range from Wall Street to Main Street, as well as to state and public institutions throughout the US. He has served as a financial advisor across a wide range of industries, counseling boards of directors, senior management and special committees to boards of directorsPrior to founding Marula Capital, Wayne spent over 25 years with Houlihan Lokey, where he also served on Houlihan’s International Fairness Opinion Review Committee, International Solvency Opinion Review Committee, and on its Technical Standards Committee for many years. He is a frequent speaker on various valuation and M&A topics.Wayne has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and holds the designation of Chartered Accountant (SA). He has an undergraduate degree in finance (with Honors) from the University of Cape Town, and before graduate school spent three years in public accounting with Arthur Andersen. Wayne holds series 7, 24, 63 and 79 with FINRA.
