My biggest role within this was Chelmsford delivery office where I had 110 postman and 5 Line Managers to manage.While at Chelmsford delivery office I was involved in the successful move of the operation into another premises within the Chelmsford area. This involved working alongside 3rd parties and trade union along with other key colleagues within the business for this move.Implemented change to working practices in Chelmsford during the summer months due to the loss of mail volumes. This was achieved with regular engagement with the staff and the trade union. This achieved a saving of 200 hours per month of manpower which made the office more efficient and cut out wasted hours which were a not needed but had been in place for many years.While manager of Epping Delivery office we achieved best in region results for budget year of 13-14 of first time delivery and 1PM signed for quality. My role has a Delivery Line Manager for Royal Mail was manage the postman on a front line basis and work in to my manager who was the overall delivery office manager. My day job was to make sure that KPI’s targets were met and to deal with any day to day issues that should arise in my section with delivering mail and parcels to the customers.
