Responsibilities are but not limited to, 36 quads each consisting of four three-bedroom apartments also, four buildings each consisting of 52 dorm rooms with bathrooms. We also have a cafeteria, two schools for the children, a gym, weight room and multiple administration buildings set on 200+ acres. Handle work orders efficiently and in a timely manner. The work orders include but are not limited to, the replacement of fixtures, ballasts, switches, plumbing repairs, carpentry, electrical, structural repairs, preventative and emergency repairs. Assists other facilities personnel in the performance of their assignments. Inspects exterior and interior of buildings for deficiencies and repairs them. Inspects operating systems on campus for proper operation. These include the water treatment and wastewater plants as well as the fire alarm system, adjusts and repairs as needed. Views the readings on the computerized climate control systems and makes changes to regulate temperatures in the buildings to provide a comfortable working environment. On call to respond to emergencies and situations that arise with the buildings, equipment, and/or personnel.

Maymont is a 100-year-old estate which after the death of The Dooley's in 1925 was donated to the city of Richmond, on 100 acres with over 500,000 sqft of 14 buildings. Its features are, Children's Farm, Aquarium with 20 tanks filled with indigenous species of fish, bear habitat, multiple gardens and a waterfall which is pumped from the James River. My role was to assist in developing a maintenance department and to assist the Associate Executive Director in managing Maymont, to effectively maintain the cosmetic appearance and the mechanical function of all the buildings, equipment, and grounds in both interior and exterior of the entire property. Assist in solving complex maintenance problems, and implementation of maintenance plans with consideration to operational and budgetary constraints. Other responsibilities were maintaining proper working relations within the department and other operating departments on property and for providing outstanding guest satisfaction. Schedule and perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, including all vehicles, trucks, golf carts, tractors and small engines for grounds, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and pumps. Collaborate with engineers, vendors, contractors, and company partners, department heads and management, manage repairs and supplies, purchases, and budgets. Assure compliance with government regulatory agencies. to ensure the best solution for Maymont. Proficiency with computer-based applications such as Microsoft Office suite, Excel, including Outlook.

Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs for a 10-acre, 200,000 sq. ft facility. Lead all projects involving installation, modification, or renovation of building and equipment. Collaborate with engineers, vendors, contractors, and company partners, department heads and management to ensure the best solution for the club. Head all efforts to upgrade facility for efficiency, safety, and reliability. Control labor costs, hiring, scheduling, and development of maintenance team members in team-oriented environment. Manage repairs and supplies, purchases, and budgets. Assure compliance with government regulatory agencies.
