I have recently had the privilege of being able to spend some time doing altruistic ministry work largely as a volunteer. I am now ready to return to more long-term commercial ventures. I have an MBA and have extensive experiencing working in and consulting to the financial services industry and especially within the Private Wealth/Wealth Management sector. My career includes IT Executive roles, business and IT transformation, outsourcing, co-sourcing and a number of other Management and Project Management roles. I have also been used effectively in interim senior IT management roles and have even been deployed as a ‘trouble-shooter’ to help the business surface and resolve its IT service issues. Part of my wider management experience includes roles such as Logistics Manager, Facilities Manager, as well as performing and managing the more specialised IT Service Incident Manager and IT Service Problem Manager roles. One of my proudest achievements is being part of a successful executive team deployed to turn a loss-making financial services platform development and production support company into a commercially viable and self-sustaining company. This was achieved early in the second year of our deployment. The company now employs more than 150 staff and operates internationally.Other achievements include delivering the first secure certificate based commercial internet platform in the southern hemisphere, converting a batch-based customer investment administration application into a highly available, near real-time system using hardware cloning and virtual server solutions. This was also considered a first by the vendors.
