Wayne retired in October 2022 after a highly successful career building and developing people, teams and companies. Known as a devoted mentor and servant leader, he has been fortunate to work with and learn from some of the best leaders, in many of the best companies, with the best cultures, and the best employees. He is passionate about building world-class teams, coaching, mentoring, servant leadership and getting exceptional business results the right way.Wayne was recently the President and Chief Executive Officer at Abrigo, Inc. During his tenure as CEO, Abrigo grew 10X in revenue, over 20X in EBITDA, and earned a best places to work recognition in every location and every year of his tenure. In July 2021, Carlyle joined AKKR as investors in Abrigo with a significant investment and enterprise valuation. Wayne was recently named a Distinguished Alumnus of Texas A&M, it’s highest honor bestowed on graduates. He was also named an E&Y Central Texas Entrepreneur of the Year winner in 2021 and a Distinguished Alumnus of the Texas A&M Mays Business School in 2019.Prior to Abrigo, Wayne served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Human Resources at Austin-based Accruent, which more than doubled in revenue, employees, and customers during his tenure.Wayne also held numerous senior leadership positions at Rackspace, including as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Fanatical Support. During his tenure, he led teams of “Rackers” that provided world-class cloud support to their customers. Wayne also led operations and implementation teams and served as the global head of human resources. While leading HR, Wayne helped the company acquire and retain top talent to succeed in toe-to-toe competition with cloud industry leaders.A native of Austin, Wayne has also served in leadership roles at Dell, Accenture, and Trammell Crow after earning a BBA in Business Analysis and an MBA from Texas A&M University.A proud Texas Aggie, Wayne chairs the Dean's Advisory Board of the Mays Business School, and is a significant donor and volunteer supporting Academic, Athletic, and University projects and initiatives at Texas A&M.Wayne has also established the Roberts Family Foundation which supports education and healthcare related causes. He is passionate about these causes and generously shares his time, energy, resources and experience across numerous non-profit organizations focused on education and healthcare.Wayne also serves as a Board Member of Baylor Scott and White in Bryan/College Station.
