Responsibilities:• Provide expert advice and guidance to the subsurface teams on development geoscience (Cooper Basin and CSG Assets) to ensure that high quality fit-for-purpose technical evaluations are undertaken and that the results are well presented with clear recommendations.• Assist in formulating and supporting development and training programmes for development geoscience staff within Gas Development, particularly the less experienced geoscientists, to ensure that core skills are imparted and that individuals are proficient in professional skills.• Support peer activities on the geoscience aspects of appraisal and development plans and project opportunities to ensure that they are accurately assessed consistent with Santos’ process and guidelines for project assessment, including both conventional and unconventional opportunities.• Assist in building a broad understanding of development geoscience and associated processes across the entire department.• Undertake other duties as directed including a seven-month secondment as Exploration Manger Cooper Conventional & Offshore Victoria.• Technical manager Santos Denison and Mahalo JV assets:• High grade opportunities and contribute to exploration/appraisal and development strategies in each CSG tenure within the Denison which demonstrate the optimum reserves and financial growth. • JV and company presentations/reporting pertaining to exploration permits, retention leases and production licences.• Make recommendations on the basis of geoscience analysis for the retention strategy for the asset.• Support the subsurface teams as required by undertaking development geoscience studies on fields, appraisal and development plans and projects.

• Achievements• Developed appraisal program to lead to the development of the NSW Gunnedah Basin assets. Program still to be completed due to delays of environmental approvals.Responsibilities• Accountable for all Appraisal and Exploration activity of Santos’ CSG acreage in NSW and Queensland tenements outside of GLNLG. • Determine Work Program & Budget (incl. 3 year look ahead) & Studies.• Member of the Energy NSW Leadership Team to deliver its contribution to the ENSWLT Strategy and Budget to be safe, efficient, sustainable and profitable.• Contribute to all Energy NSW Projects by ensuring that all aspects of resource assessment and field development plans are properly considered and documented within the SQAD processes. Set and communicate the direction, vision and role accountabilities to ensure the organisation is aligned to the vision.• Ensure compliance with permits, licences, DOA, regulations, operating agreements and any other like obligations.• Work with and build relationships with Joint Venture partners and Government departments. • Drive process improvements or transform team approaches to optimise team performance and deliverables. • Lead change initiatives effectively across the business units to ensure a smooth transition.• Ensure alignment to Santos Management System Objectives and Assurance requirements.• Ensure appropriate workforce planning, talent attraction and development, and resource deployment to ensure business delivery and employee development needs are met. • Communication “socialise” the Exploration & Appraisal plan across Santos and NSW Energy Business.• Provide performance feedback, coaching and mentoring and ensure team development to optimise performance and commitment of leaders and employees.

• Commercially accountable for conduct within budget of CSG and conventional exploration and appraisal activities in all of the ESG’s exploration permits and production licences, both operated and non-operated.• Technically accountable for the provision of geoscience support to the Opertions Group and specifically in relation to development drilling.• Supervising standards for geosciences data collection and analysis tp ensure consistent outcomes of all geoscience data is achieved and input to a database for well and geoscience data.• JV presentations under JOA’s pertaining to exploration permits and production licences.• Ensuring new venture exploration appraisal and development geoscientific operations are undertaken in a technically professional manner, safely and with regard to their impact on the environment and stakeholders and that they comply with all statutory regulations.• Professional development of other geoscience staff by mentoring and recommending appropriate training necessary for the exploration team to deliver the exploration plan.

• Highgrade opportunities and contribute to exploration/appraisal and development strategies in each CSG tenure which demonstrate the optimum reserves and financial growth. • JV and company presentations/reporting pertaing to exploration permits, retention leases and production licences.• Make recommendations on the basis of geoscience analysis for the disposal or the additional acquisition of CSG assets.• Ensure all drilling locations are optimally located to intersect the best reserves potential.• Project manage CSG geoscience programs including landdholder and environmental approvals, AFEs, budget preparation and strategic planning.• Ensure sedimentology and coal geology analysed by the group are conducted to deliver a timely and consistent result.• Ensuring new venture exploration appraisal and development geoscientific operations are undertaken in a technically professional manner, safely and with regard to their impact on the environment and stakeholders and that they comply with all statutory regulations.• Professional development of other geoscience staff by mentoring and recommending appropriate training.
