• Led and developed price risk management activities for $1.7B North America direct materials (ingredients, packaging, and energy) to manage price volatility and reduce costs. • Unlocked $70MM+ in savings and decreased Kraft Foods' exposure to volatile crude oil markets by shifting to transparent cost modes with top 20 suppliers.

• Directed $1 billion energy and sweetener group responsible for the procurement and risk management of natural gas, electricity, corn sweetener, and sugar categories. • Leveraged flexible formulations, best country sourcing, and cost transparency to deliver 7% savings on sweetener portfolio, recognized with a Procurement “Shark” award.

• Prepared and executed hedging strategies for $2 billion global packaging spend to minimize risks and manage cost volatility, including paper, resin, and metal packaging commodities. • Developed packaging models to understand key cost drivers, improve pricing transparency, increase forecast accuracy, and consolidate global spend to leverage commodity savings opportunities.

• Managed and purchased in excess of $200 million annually of corn-based sweeteners, malt syrup, and molasses.• Conducted joint sourcing bid to re-engineer sweetener category, transitioning from rebate-driven pricing to a tolling model. The benefits of a tolling model allowed for optimizing total landed cost and resulted in 5% savings across family of companies owned by Altria (Miller Brewing, Philip Morris, and Kraft Foods).

• Managed and purchased in excess of $50 million annually of rice and component priced flour to support pizza, pasta, and cereal production. • Received “Golden Plate Award” for best productivity project in North America by creating flexible pasta formulation based on wheat cost optimization.
